Afula’s Delegation Conquered Tbilisi: SportiDance Celebrates Major Success at an International Championship in Georgia (Dec 14, 2025)
There are moments when your heart can’t stay “normal.” Moments when you look at your dancers—children and teens—and realize how far they’ve come, how much they’ve invested, and how proudly they represented their city and their country. That is exactly what we experienced at the international ballroom and Latin dance competition held in Tbilisi, Georgia, over two powerful days: December 13–14, 2025.
A delegation from Afula, representing SportiDance Ballroom & Latin Dance, led by Inna Kogan and Yakir Kogan, stepped onto a truly international stage and returned with remarkable achievements: top placements, podium moments, and one especially meaningful highlight—success in the prestigious 10-Dance Championship. But beyond medals and rankings, this trip was a story about character, discipline, and the belief that consistent hard work always pays off.
This was not “just another competition.” It was a high-level arena with strong judging, serious international standards, and competitors from countries with deep traditions in dance sport. And our dancers proved something important: excellence can grow anywhere—also in the North, also in Afula—when the training is professional and the mindset is strong.
A High-Level International Competition Where Every Detail Matters
In international dance sport, nothing is “forgiven.” The smallest elements matter: timing, posture, lines, balance, musicality, partnering skills, stage presence, energy management, and emotional expression.
This year, participating countries included:
Germany, the Czech Republic, Georgia, Israel, Greece, Moldova, and Ukraine.
When you step onto the floor against such fields, you quickly understand: talent alone isn’t enough. You need preparation, mental stability, and the ability to perform under pressure again and again.
SportiDance on the Floor: Confidence, Emotion, and a Level You Can See Instantly
From the very first rounds, it was clear: our dancers didn’t come to “try.” They came to perform. They walked onto the floor with calm focus and confidence—the kind that comes from training the right way for a long time.
Competitive ballroom and Latin dancing is a rare combination of sport and art. It demands fitness and technique, but also emotional control and the ability to communicate a story through movement. Our dancers brought that full package: technical precision, strong partnering, musical sensitivity, and true presence.
Behind Every Medal: Years of Work, Not Luck
We believe in telling the truth: these results do not happen by chance. They are built through daily discipline—hours of training, repetition, refinement, and constant improvement.
At SportiDance, we focus on a strong foundation:
- technique and precision
- posture and body control
- partnering skills and connection
- musicality and rhythm awareness
- stage presence and confidence
- mental discipline and pressure management
Most importantly, dance sport shapes people—not only performers. It teaches responsibility, respect, teamwork, and the ability to grow through feedback.
Inna & Yakir Kogan: Professional Leadership with Heart and Purpose
This success is a direct result of dedicated leadership and a clear professional vision. Inna Kogan and Yakir Kogan lead SportiDance with a system that combines high standards with real care for each dancer.
Inna, as a coach, teacher, and mother, brings deep personal connection and guidance. She supports dancers emotionally and professionally, helping them believe in themselves and stay strong under pressure.
And a huge thank you to Yakir Kogan—for the precision, determination, and the big heart he gives to every dancer. Achievements like these are possible only with true partnership, serious standards, and a shared mission.
Special Thanks to Albert Iskhanov
We would like to express special gratitude to Albert Iskhanov for the invitation, long-term partnership, friendship, professionalism, and personal support for the group and the dancers. That kind of guidance makes a real difference—especially on an international stage.
Parents: The Quiet Force Behind Big Success
No international achievement happens without parents. Their support, trust, investment, organization, and love are essential. At SportiDance, we truly feel like one big family and this family spirit is part of what makes our dancers stronger.
Strong City Support: Afula’s Pride on the International Stage
We also want to thank Afula’s Mayor, Avi Elkabetz for support and presence. For young dancers, this recognition is powerful: it tells them their city believes in them and is proud of them.
Ballroom & Latin Dance: A Life School, Not Just a Hobby
Many parents ask: what does dance really give a child?
The answer is: far more than steps.
Dance sport develops:
- confidence and stage presence
- discipline and consistency
- fitness, coordination, and body awareness
- teamwork and respect
- mental strength under pressure
- focus and goal setting
These are life skills that last far beyond the dance floor.
Conclusion: Tbilisi Was Not the Finish Line—It Was a New Level
We returned from Georgia with full hearts, real pride, and a clear message: hard work creates results. This trip was proof that our dancers are growing into strong, skilled, inspiring competitors and that SportiDance is on the right path.
Thank you to everyone who was part of this journey. We will keep training, improving, and reaching higher goals—together.
